Hello All, over the last 3 months I have continued badgering Halifax (HSDL) to trade in NBPE. This resulted in an official complaint by me which was rejected. However I kept progressing this issue and was in contact with NBPE's Vice President in the US who was keen to help by having a discussion with HSDL about what changes were needed to make their KID acceptable to them. I believe the VP may have involved the help of his employee in London and also Kepler, because they had difficulty as he reverted to me to obtain a name of an appropriate person to contact in HSDL. This was not easy because the trading staff do not give out names as the upper management prefer to remain faceless despite the fact that the VP of a FTSE 250 company and a major investment trust wishes to contact them. I found their attitude to customer service incredibly poor. Anyways they made an error in not replying to my email of 10.1.24 submitted via their Official email Form within 3 days; supposedly not received but in sending it I was pedantic about pressing the "Submit" button and receiving a "Thank you" acknowledgement.. So in further telecons with first level customerservice staff I let it be known that I would be submitting an official complaint about HSDL not repyling to me email within 3 working days, and if still no contact given would be progressing this issue with the HSDL MD/CEO. Then low and behold around 23.1.24 when phoning them again to answer a telecon message from them I was informed that NBPE had just been put on their trading list. Hurrah, Hurrah! Furthermore it would appear from a quick look that there have been no changes to the KID, but will double check when I have time. Despite HSDL's attitude I am now invested in NBPE. Hurrah, hurrah! Apologies for the length of this saga. Moral of the tale - never give up!

Yes, their KID statement under "Intended Retail Investor" needs to be enlarged to include private investors with knowledge and experience of the Private Equity sector. If you have not read my reply to Paul Warren, please do so. I am informed by one of the US NBPE investment managers that they are taking steps to address this short-coming. In fact their top man, Paul Daggett is in the UK just now and is appearing in a webinar organised by Kepler Ltd this thursday at 1500 hours. Needless to say I am sighed-up!

Thank you Paul. I realize that I could change my Nominee company, but would much prefer to keep them all under one roof. Just to keep everyone up to date on progress. Halifax consider that they have resolved the complaint; that might be to their justification and satisfaction, but I certainly do not consider it resolved and I have informed them accordingly; the Complaints Manager told me that there would be finantial benefite to Halifax if they were able to trade in NBPE. So in my email I also informed them that Halifax should be ashamed of itself getting me to persuade NBPE to modify their "Intended Retail Investor KID and EMT instead of them approaching NBPE direct. Anyways, with many thanks to NBPE's UK Registrar I am now in contact with the Board in the US, and also Kepler UK who have tried previously to amend Halifax's laissez faire attitude, and who will have another attept. NBPE US have indicated they are investigating changing their KID staement and ensuring that they comply with the EMT requirement. I will keep readres informed of progress.

Thank you Stuart. Interesting. The ISIN number for NBPE is GG not GB which I suspect is a German reference where I know NBPE is also registered on the Deutsch stock market. But of course the HQ of NBPE is in America and the UK Board has quite a few Americans on it, so not the usual straight forward set-up. "Saxo", could this be an abreviation of "Saxon" which is a very Germanic name and may indicate Saxo's derivation and so more disposed to dealing with a GG ISIN?
