Postal Delays

We know that many subscribers have not yet received their December newsletters, which were sent by first-class post on 2nd December. We are sorry for the delay and share your frustration. Recent deliveries have been hampered by industrial action by the CWU, but this is not the only problem. Regrettably we are simply no longer able to guarantee timely delivery by the Royal Mail, where service levels have dropped to very poor standards. The Times reported on 2nd December that in the second quarter the Royal Mail managed to deliver just 72.6% of first class mail within one working day of collection against its target of 93%. With the recent strikes we can only imagine the figures have worsened considerably even from this level.

We are finding that more clients are now switching to email delivery, which we offer as an option. Newsletters are sent out as PDF copies after the market close on the Friday of publication. If you would like to switch, please contact us by email at admin@mchattie.co.uk.
