Any throughts on NBPE vs. HVPE?
Both on large discounts and former paying a dividend and slightly better 10yr total return according to The AIC website.

I'd be interested in views on the 30%+ discounts on "private equity related" ITs like Caledonia and RIT. Does the market not believe the NAVs created by GPs ("marking their own homework", some say.....so cynical "Mr Market" discounts composite asset values even where PE portion is only 25% of an IT), or is this yet another opportunity to buy $1 of assets for 70c? In the formal private equity and VC fund world, though there is some stress in specific areas, I do not find a general tendency to discount asset values by 30-40%!
